On Thursday, August 13th more than 2,500 Quad Cities residents received notice that Tyson Foods in Joslin, IL would be closing their doors for good. To assist displaced workers and their families, United Way Quad Cities has developed a resource guide targeted at addressing re-employment, rent & utility assistance, food, and mental health supports. Agencies and individuals should feel free to share this information with anyone impacted by the plant closure.
