FY26 Community Investment Grant

United Way Quad Cities’ Community Investment Grant is a funding opportunity designed to support nonprofits and grassroots organizations working to improve outcomes in Youth Opportunity & Education; Financial Security & Workforce; and Healthy Community impact areas. We’re anticipating investing $4.5 million for this 3-year investment cycle.

  • Invitations to Apply Notification - December 6, 2024

  • Applications Due - January 21, 2025

Community Impact Grant: Outcome Reporting

Agencies funded through the Community Impact Grant must submit three reports to demonstrate the impact of our investment:

  • Interim Report #1
    • Due January 15, 2024
    • Reporting on services conducted between July 1, 2023 – December 31, 2023
  • Interim Report #2

African American Leadership Society (AALS) Strategic Grants.

United Way Quad Cities will provide one-time funding for organizations working to address needs in the African American community and become part of the solution with an emphasis on education, income, and health.

Requests for Proposals will be accepted from local organizations serving Rock Island County, IL and/or Scott County, IA who align their work to support one of the following impact strategies:

  1. Provide timely community-based academic supports that keep Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) K-12 students academically on track.
  2. Increase Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) student access to career exploration, activities and awareness.
  3. Provide Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) high school and college students with timely supports and services to ensure college access, persistence and completion.

Emergency Food & Shelter Grant

United Way Quad Cities is seeking proposals for grants for the Emergency Food and Shelter Program. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is providing allocations of $75,126 for Rock Island County and $69,637 for Scott County.

The grants are federally funded and administered by United Way Quad Cities and are available to 501(c)3 nonprofits, faith-based organizations and government organizations that provide emergency food, shelter and rental assistance in Scott or Rock Island counties.
