Day of Caring

Come together to create opportunity for every person in the QC.

Day of Caring brings together volunteers from across the Quad Cities each spring to participate in half and full-day projects making a difference in the community. Projects range from reading to kids to creating inspirational spaces to preparing our youth camps for the summer months. Projects can be large – over 100 volunteers – or small – under 5 volunteers.

We have some exciting news to share! Our annual Days of Caring events will be evolving from two separate Days of Caring to one impactful day during National Volunteer Week in April. We are looking forward to harnessing the collective energy and enthusiasm of our community in a more focused and powerful way. This concentration of volunteers and resources will enable us to accomplish larger-scale projects and have a more significant impact on the organizations and individuals we serve.

Day of Caring volunteer impact.

Whether it’s painting schools, cleaning up parks, or assisting local nonprofits, the Day of Caring embodies the spirit of unity and service. Through these collective efforts, we witness tangible improvements in our neighborhoods, from revitalized public spaces to enhanced educational facilities. Beyond the physical changes, the Day of Caring fosters a sense of togetherness and empowerment among residents, reminding us that we can achieve remarkable things when we come together with a shared purpose.
