Reading to students is my favorite, 30 minutes a week. It’s a truly rewarding volunteer experience. I’ve done it for a year and a half with several students through the United Way.
Nothing brings me greater joy than volunteering and helping out. When you look good, you do good and you feel good. That’s what it’s all about.
I volunteer through the VITA program to help people file their income taxes, because I love interacting with people, helping them out, and seeing their happy faces once they find out they don’t have to pay anything and can get most of their money back.
