United Way Quad Cities’ Day of Caring is one of the region’s most anticipated days of community action. This September 10th, we invite you to be part of it.
Businesses, organizations, and individuals from neighborhoods across the Quad Cities are invited to choose a project, join a team, and experience firsthand what becomes possible when a community unites around a shared purpose. Whether you’re returning for another year or participating for the first time, Day of Caring offers a meaningful way to give back and connect with the community.
United Way Quad Cities recruits nonprofit partners, matches volunteers to projects where they can make the greatest difference, and provides the coordination that turns a single day of action into measurable, lasting impact across the region.
Volunteer projects span the full range of what it takes to strengthen a community, and there is something for everyone. Whatever your skills, Day of Caring is your chance to show up, do something meaningful, and leave knowing you made a difference.

United Way Quad Cities coordinates Day of Caring as part of its mission to align partners, invest where impact can scale, and strengthen the systems behind learning, earning, and health across the region. This year’s goal is to bring together more than 1,000 community members in service to their community. Every volunteer who registers, every organization that participates, and every project completed helps create the kind of good news our community needs. Together, they’re proving that United is the Way we make good news happen.
How to Get Involved
Volunteer registration is open now. Community members can register as individuals or teams and explore volunteer opportunities across the region. New projects may continue to be added, but many opportunities fill quickly. Those interested in participating are encouraged to register early and secure their place among the people making good news happen.
