Local Nonprofits Present Innovative Ideas and Net $85K in United Way Grants During ‘The Pitch’

Four competitors, drawing from the area’s social entrepreneurs, pitched their big ideas to strengthen education outcomes in the Quad Cities Saturday, May 8, and netted a total of $85,000 for their innovative solutions. 

Thank you to everyone who tuned into “The Pitch” — and congratulations to our competitors who each netted awards for their big ideas to improve literacy for Quad Cities students.

Below are the recipients of grant awards during “The Pitch,” the culminating event with United Way’s Together for Tomorrow cohort:

Note: Together for Tomorrow participants who completed the program each received grants, bringing the total awarded to Quad Cities nonprofits and innovators to $100,000.
