Day of Action

This year, thousands of Quad Cities children will not have the school supplies needed to start school. In order to help, a school supply drive is being held for Day of Action on July 19, 2018. 

YOU CAN HELP!

The goal is 20,000 items and $3,000 to help 1,600 students in the Quad Cities.

HOST A SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE

Items needed:

  • Pencils
  • Pens (blue or black)
  • Erasers
  • Pencil Cases
  • Spiral Notebooks
  • Loose Paper
  • Composition Books
  • Pocket Folders
  • Crayons
  • Markers (prefer washable)
  • Colored Pencils
  • Scissors
  • Glue Sticks
  • Backpacks

School supply drop-off will be July 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at JB Young Opportunity Center at 1702 N. Main St., Davenport.

GIVE

$15 = backpack with everything 1 students needs
$60 = 4 students
$500 = 33 students

You can donate online at unitedwayqc.org/pencils, or cash or check made out to United Way.

United Way partners with 1st Day Project which serves Quad Cities-wide school districts.
