We want all Quad Citizens to be healthy and safe. For some Quad Cities families, this means having access to mental health care. For instance, 50% of low-income individuals in the Quad Cities report that their mental health is fair or poor. This data fuels United Way’s work in health in the Quad Cities.
- FamilyWize lowers the cost of medicine by providing prescription discount cards.
- United Way funds our partners’ work in providing trauma and abuse services, counseling, and supports, along with promoting eating healthy and being physically active.
- A partnership of United Way, Genesis Health System, UnityPoint Health, and the Hubbell-Waterman Foundation is working toward filling the gaps and improving mental health outcomes in the Quad Cities including a Mental Health Assessment Report.
- Our partners provide mental health services and access to respite services.
