We are an educated, informed and dedicated group of women working together to inspire women in the Quad Cities to make a difference by Giving, Advocating and Volunteering.
We will ignite the power of women to make an positive impact on the lives of children from birth to five in the Quad Cities by ensuring that local youth:
- Begin kindergarten ready to learn.
- Have access to and receive quality child care and preschool.
- Have their basic needs met.
We're doing this by focusing our work around three committees.

Margaret Lewis to volunteer for a committee.
GiveThe Give committee determines the annual WLC fundraising goal and strategies and is responsible for asking individuals to donate by making personal solicitation requests. (e.g., phone calls, letters and emails). They also help with renewals and prospecting. Inspire women all over the Quad Cities to get involved by investing in WLC.
Advocate
The Advocate committee monitors and engages in activities to promote early childhood learning (e.g., speaking with legislators and hosting educational sessions for WLC members). Serves as a spokesperson for the WLC and its initiatives.
VolunteerThe Volunteer committee identifies projects and needs within the community that fit the mandate of the WLC and then lays out the strategic plan for addressing the needs. They develop volunteer opportunities, which promote early childhood learning.
