Be a Leader – Change Your World
Young Leaders are a group of professionals 40 years and younger who support United Way by giving, advocating or volunteering.
Join the Young Leaders Movement
Pen Pal Project
Write a letter to your pen pal, get a letter back. It’s easy and helps engage kids in our community. Young Leaders get together monthly to write letters to students in kindergarten, third grade, intermediate, and high school.
Young Leaders Day of Caring Project
Remember how much you loved getting new school supplies? Bring that joy to a student by making school supply kits during a Day of Caring. United Way’s goal is to have all Quad Cities youth prepared to be successful in work and life, and that starts in the classroom. There are Quad Cities students who enter school without essential supplies, such as pencils and paper. Young Leaders can volunteer to give students at a local elementary school the tools necessary to be successful in the classroom.
Networking and Socializing
Have fun. Young Leaders have events throughout the year to network and get to know each other.
